Premiering Friday – Kogan Murphy’s ‘Tomorrow’

GOING SOLO:
KOGAN MURPHY’S TOMORROW PREMIERES THIS FRIDAY!

In this tribute to her adopted hometown, choreographer and performer Kogan Murphy often improvised her movements as she danced at some of Omaha’s most iconic locations.

“I think that sometimes spontaneous ideas are the best,” she says. “It just became really fun and enjoyable… that feeling of when you’re a little girl and you’re just dancing in your room. It was a good feeling to go back to that.”

Kogan used a mix of planned choreography and movement she improvised on the spot in response to her feelings about some of Omaha’s most iconic locations.

Join the virtual premiere by watching any time beginning at 7 pm CST Friday on our YouTube and Facebook channels!

Filmmaker Lance Glenn used the technique of “match-action cutting” to blend Kogan’s choreography into a seamless flow from location to location.
