School Programs and Summer Intensive

Four important audition opportunities for highly-motivated dancers will take place on Thursday, May 14, at the Hoff Family Arts & Culture Center. The audition will begin at 4:30 pm. Registration is required. You can choose to register for any or all of the following auditions:

• AMB Summer Intensive – May 14 will be the final opportunity for day students to audition for the AMB Summer Intensive, our challenging and rewarding program offering three weeks of ballet, pointe, variations, jazz, modern, contemporary, and repertory for dancers ages 11-25. • AMB Junior Company – This prestigious pre-professional program is for advanced ballet dancers ages 14-25. Junior Company members gain exposure to professional ballet company life, with opportunities to study with artistic staff, learn company repertoire, shadow professional dancers, and improve technique and artistry. • AMB School Performance Ensemble – Freshly revised for 2026-2027, the Performance Ensemble will be open to students 9+ years of age. Members will be selected to dance in 2-6 performance pieces that will be rehearsed and performed throughout the school year. More about the Performance Ensemble…
• AMB School Solo Program – Junior Company and Performance Ensemble members also will be eligible to be considered for the Solo Program, learning and performing solo works. You can specify on your registration form if you wish to be considered for this program as part of your Junior Company or Performance Ensemble audition. More about the Solo Program…

August 1:
Nutcracker and Cleopatra community auditions

Audition location: Hoff Family Arts & Culture, 1001 S 6th Street in Council Bluffs.
Registration is required.

Registration is open NOW to audition for our Season 17 productions of The Nutcracker and Cleopatra! Those chosen will perform onstage with the AMB company (Nov. 21-22/Dec. 4-6 for The Nutcracker and April 10-11/April 24 for Cleopatra.)
