American Midwest Ballet is currently hiring for male dancer positions for the 2022/23 Season. Interested dancers should contact

The company offers paid contracts, worker’s compensation insurance, cash benefits, retirement benefits, pointe shoes, and physical therapy and chiropractic treatment.

All auditionees must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

The company performs a mix of classical and contemporary works by its artistic staff and a roster of renowned guests. A typical season includes three mainstage productions – a mixed-repertory program, The Nutcracker, and a full-length ballet – as well as touring throughout the region and beyond. Our beautiful new home at the Hoff Family Arts and Culture Center offers state-of-the-art rehearsal and performance facilities. We also perform at the historic Orpheum Theater in Omaha.

How to apply:

Auditions for professional dancers are by invitation. Interested dancers should have the following materials available:

  • Current resumé
  • Head shot
  • Dance photo
  • Photo of your COVID-19 vaccination card (both sides)
  • 3 professional references (both email and phone number)
  • Short video consisting of:  Adagio in the center, traveling combination containing pirouettes en dehors and en dedans, petite allegro with battu jumps, grand allegro.  Ladies on pointe.  Men submit footage of partnering if you have it available on file. 
  • If possible, dancers may submit footage of themselves performing a classical variation (either rehearsal or performance footage)
  • Do not submit barre work
