American Midwest Ballet leaps into its tenth season with a celebration-worthy main stage lineup.
The region’s professional ballet company makes its season debut this October with Momentum, featuring the Omaha premiere of Frank Chaves’ sultry, colorful Habaneras: The Music of Cuba, plus the return of two of our most-requested favorites: Ann Reinking’s In the Style of Bob Fosse and Erika Overturff’s Party Animals.
The company ushers in the holidays with the classic family favorite The Nutcracker with a special pre-Thanksgiving performance at Arts Center, followed by its much-anticipated three-show run at the opulent Orpheum Theater in Omaha.
April finds the celebration rising to crescendo with the return of the production that started it all. AMB brings back its company debut production from 2010: Harrison McEldowney’s exuberant Swing, Swing, Swing! with performances at Orpheum Theater in Omaha and its brand new home at Hoff Family Arts & Culture Center in Council Bluffs.
