American Midwest Ballet spent Saturday, April 28 celebrating the Day of the Child or Día del Niño at El Museo Latino in South Omaha from noon to 3pm.
This year’s Día del Niño celebration featured an afternoon of fun activities, games, prizes – and a special performance by company dancer, Erin Alarcón.
American Midwest Ballet also released the first in a series of coloring pages designed by Jim Williams from original performance photographs. The first release features dancers Sasha York and Natasha Grimm. Guests registered to win free tickets for American Midwest Ballet’s season premiere of Momentum this fall, as well as a pair of pointe shoes autographed by American Midwest Ballet dancers.
As the first Latino art and history museum and cultural center in the midwest – and one of only eleven such museums in the United States – El Museo Latino organizes and presents special events during the year highlighting the heritage, culture and celebrations of the hispanic community. American Midwest Ballet is pleased to be part of this wonderful event!
