As the echoes fade from the rapturous standing ovation that greeted our sold-out closing Orpheum performance, American Midwest Ballet would like to thank you – our audiences, supporters, and fans – for making it possible to uphold this beloved holiday tradition. This year…
- Capacity crowds cheered two weekends of public performances at the Hoff Family Arts and Culture Center in Council Bluffs and Omaha’s Orpheum Theater.
- Our sensory-friendly performance at the Hoff Center, presented in cooperation with the Autism Action Partnership, made the Nutcracker experience accessible to families with a member on the autism spectrum.
- More than 5,700 area students enjoyed special school matinees at the Orpheum, presented in collaboration with Omaha Performing Arts.
- Our 67-member ensemble of community dancers, including guest dancers from our Discover Dance program with Girls Inc. and the Viswanatya Niketan school of classical Indian dance, shared the unforgettable experience of performing alongside our 25-member professional company in a dazzling mainstage production.
