MEET THE CHARACTERS:
Bow to the Queen of Hearts !
Alice in Wonderland is headed your way, so we’ve asked the dancers to help introduce you to some of the characters you’ll meet in this imaginative, delightfully original ballet. Today, we introduce you to the Queen of Hearts!

Erika Overturff: “The Queen of Hearts’ variation is basically one big temper tantrum! She’s used to getting her way, so when Alice stands up to her, she can’t take it – kicking, stomping and flailing ensues!
My favorite moment with the Queen is the croquet match. The cards do backbends all in a row to create the hoops, and little dancers are hedgehogs and flamingos. It’s a clever and humorous little scene, and it feels wonderful to make the audience laugh!”

Alexandra Hoffman: “The Queen of hearts variation is a burst of angry energy after Alice stands up to her. After a long tantrum, a hilarious croquet scene unfolds. It might just be my favorite scene involving our children’s cast!”
