After receiving eight nominations for the 7th Annual Omaha Entertainment & Arts Awards (OEAA), American Midwest Ballet was recognized for best dance production for its spring 2012 presentation of ‘Momentum’, featuring several original works in a variety of dance styles, including ‘Cleopatra’ by artistic director Erika Overturff.
American Midwest Ballet has previously earned two other OEAA awards – one for Best Dance Production, Momentum (2011) and the other for Best Featured Dancer, Erika Overturff.
Omaha Entertainment Arts annual awards show recognizes the performing arts, visual arts and live music of the Omaha area. OEAA’s 2013 red-carpet style awards were held at Hilton Omaha on February 17.
