Performance Ensemble

Introducing AMB School’s 2026-2027 new:

Performance Ensemble

The Performance Ensemble will be open to students 9+ years of age who are in the Academy Division of AMB School.

The audition for the 2026-2027 Performance Ensemble:

Hoff Center: Studio 1
4:30-6:00pm

Pre-registration is required.

From this audition students will be selected to dance in 2-6 performance pieces that will be rehearsed and performed throughout the school year. For dancers cast in more than two performance pieces, dancers may decide how many pieces above the required two they would like to commit to rehearsing and performing for the 2026-2027 school year.

Scheduling

Rehearsals for the 2026-2027 AMB School Performance Ensemble will be on Thursdays 7:00-8:30 pm. A rehearsal schedule of when each performance piece will be rehearsed will be released after 2026-2027 casting is completed. Rehearsals will take place concurrently in Studios 1, 2 and 3 each week.

The pieces will be performed at the Hoff Center in the January AMB School Winter Performance, the AMB School Spring Performance, and the annual AMB School Showcase, as well as other community performances throughout the school year.

One or two of the additional performance pieces will be competitive and will perform at 1-3 of the following events depending on scheduling for the 2026-2027 school year:

  • Youth America Grand Prix [YAGP]
  • Universal Ballet Competition [UBC]
  • One-Two Selected Regional Competitions

These pieces will have additional costs associated with the entry fees and travel to these competitions. Agreeing to dance in one of these pieces is a big commitment, so additional information will be provided as it becomes available before asking these dancers to make this commitment.
