American Midwest Ballet [AMB] is committed to enhancing arts education in the community through workshops for schools, Girl Scout troops, and other organizations throughout the season.
NUTCRACKER WORKSHOPS
Workshops for The Nutcracker are available to schools attending an AMB student matinee of this production at the Orpheum Theater. Workshops are provided through a collaboration between AMB and Omaha Performing Arts.
COMMUNITY WORKSHOPS
For community organizations and other groups interested in hosting onsite workshops with our professional dancers, please contact education@amballet.org.
Girl Scout WorkshopS
AMB offers both virtual and in-person dance education and movement workshops conducted by our professional dancers especially for Girl Scouts. Participation in a Girl Scout workshop may be used toward earning badges at the appropriate level. Contact education@amballet.org to schedule.

Cost: Free (for registered Girl Scouts)
Registration of scouts by the official troop leader is required in order to participate.
American Midwest Ballet’s workshop classes include an entertaining demonstration by professional dancers, followed by students receiving an insider’s look at creating a dance production, learning about storytelling through dance, and taking part in exciting movement activities. Workshops meet many standards outlined in the Fine Arts Standards for Dance by the Nebraska and Iowa Departments of Education.
