Three Community Dance Opportunities

American Midwest Ballet is happy to bring you three opportunities for community dancers in July! All three events will take place at the Hoff Family Arts & Culture Center, 1001 S. 6th Street, in Council Bluffs.
Sunday, July 21 – FREE Day of Dance
Our annual Day of Dance celebration brings free dance classes to children, teens and adults from 1 to 4 pm. Class offerings will include creative movement, beginning to advanced ballet, lyrical, contemporary, jazz and tap. Class sizes are limited, so pre-registration is required!
Sunday, July 28 – Nutcracker Community Auditions
If you’ve always dreamed of being in AMB’s spectacular holiday ballet The Nutcracker, this could be your chance! Roles will be available for performers ages 9 and up. Those selected also will need to be available for an initial costume fitting on Saturday, August 3. Performances of The Nutcracker will be November 23 & 24 at the Hoff Center, and December 13-15 at the Orpheum Theater. Pre-registration is required.
Sunday, July 28 – AMB Junior Company Audition
The AMB Junior Company is a prestigious pre-professional program for advanced, highly-motivated ballet dancers ages 14 through 25. Both this and the Nutcracker audition will be held together; the registration form will give you the option to register for either or both. Be sure to read the “More Info” page for detailed information about benefits and responsibilities of Junior Company membership. Pre-registration is required.
