Start your season on a lively note with Momentum, our bold menu of brilliant dance! Each season’s Momentum is a unique experience, with a new slate of varied and exhilarating works. This season will feature the AMB premiere of Ruth, a stirring elegy to love and loss, and the last ballet created by Joffrey Ballet co-founder Gerald Arpino.
The Nutcracker

Visual splendor, a charming story, and brilliant classical dancing – it’s no wonder the world’s favorite holiday ballet is a family tradition! Fresh, lively, and thoroughly entertaining, The Nutcracker highlights the versatility of American Midwest Ballet’s cast of professional artists, backed by a polished ensemble of student dancers from across the metro area.

A Midsummer Night’s Dream

Shakespeare’s most-beloved romantic comedy springs to life in this delightful ballet! Feuding fairies and mismatched lovers collide in the Forest of Arden, leading to a busy night of comic confusion and dazzling dance, set to Felix Mendelssohn’s enchanting score. It’s a merry and magical wrap-up!
